I recently stayed at The Clarendon, and while the atmosphere and amenities were top-notch, my experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The hotel boasts a unique charm with its newly remodeled decor and lovely pool area, which is perfect for relaxing. I truly loved the personalized service provided by the staff and the fantastic dining options. However, the loud rooftop music late into the night was quite disruptive. Overall, there are solid elements worth noting, but I will need to think twice before returning.

The Clarendon offers a unique retro vibe with a spacious pool area and friendly staff, making it a charming spot for a getaway. However, my experience was marred by issues with the air conditioning and room maintenance, which detracted from the overall comfort. The dining options were decent, but not outstanding, and there were moments that made me question the value for what was paid.

The rooms had a comfortable king bed and decent amenities, but several issues affected their overall quality, such as a malfunctioning shower and a problematic door.

5.0/10

I had an overall frustrating experience at this hotel. While the staff was nice, the room situation was unacceptable, and the noise from a pool party made it difficult to relax. The amenities seemed to be lacking, and I felt it didn't live up to the price I paid. There were some redeeming qualities, like the spacious room, but I wouldn't recommend it for a calm stay.

Rooms

The room was spacious but felt dated and the bed was very hard, making it uncomfortable for sleep.

While the staff was friendly, they didn't handle complaints effectively, leaving us feeling unheard.
Location

The hotel was in a rough neighborhood, which felt unsettling, but not far from some attractions.
Dining

The dining options were limited and overpriced, and the snacks available at the front desk were often depleted.
Facilities

Facilities seemed poorly maintained, especially with the loud party going on during our stay.

5.6/10

My stay left me feeling a bit mixed. While the pool area was beautiful and inviting, the room itself felt outdated and definitely not worthy of a four-star rating. The staff was polite and helpful, but the unexpected fees for amenities were a real bummer. Overall, if you're expecting luxury and modern comfort, this place may not be for you.

Rooms
5.0
The room was clean but quite dated, resembling more of a two-star standard. The lack of sufficient outlets and the low-pile carpet added to the overall unimpressive feel.
Service
7.0
The staff I interacted with were friendly and courteous, especially when I raised concerns about the extra charges. However, the communication about amenities left something to be desired due to the surprise fees.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location was decent enough for nearby attractions, but nothing particularly noteworthy about it stood out.
Dining
5.0
Dining offered some nice options at the restaurant, albeit a bit on the pricier side with the extra $20 fee for snacks and amenities.
Facilities
6.0
The pool and fitness room were highlights, but the overall facilities could use some updating and attention.

6.0/10

While the hotel had some redeeming qualities like an inviting breakfast and a spacious pool area, it was overall let down by poor cleanliness in the common areas and rooms. The staff appeared overwhelmed and uninformed, and I felt misled by the amenities not being properly communicated. It was an experience that left me eager to find a different place next time.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were large but felt dark and damp, with filthy carpets and poorly laid out furniture. It lacked basic comforts and left a lot to be desired.
Service
5.0
Service was quite lacking as staff seemed not to be trained well and failed to mention important amenities and details.
Location
6.0
The location was decent, but the noisy environment, especially with loud music and construction, was not what I expected.
Dining
8.0
Breakfast was a highlight of my stay; it was delicious and a great way to start the day.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area looked nice, but I hesitated to use it given the condition of the hotel overall.
